Simple Kitchen Design that Environmental Friendly
Today people often shout about green design. Actually, do you know that green design was the same as sustainable design. How to apply it in a kitchen?
For some people, design is something that is related to the trend. That opinion was not entirely wrong, because the progress of design shows development of a civilization. The positioning was almost the same with the art. However, actually design is a means to improve the quality of human life.
So, long before green design buzzed, the designers actually have been charged to produce design that both environmentally friendly and sustainable. That is, designs that are made to eliminate the negative impact on the environment. The designers call it a sustainable design.
Although there’s not much giving contribution to the design world, you can also apply at home. For example by bringing this understanding into the concept of your home. Look at this kitchen as an example. Original wood used throughout the kitchen set, with no coating at all. Indeed, some peoples mentioned the use of wood should be reduced because of the diminishing of forest area. But, in fact the wood is the most environmentally friendly material. Moreover, if left without finishing. Beside does not containing any chemicals, this material is very durable and can be recycled.
In fact, using wood is ok, really. However, you have to make sure that the wood you bought has been certified as legal. Keep in mind that the forest damage caused by illegal logging.
If you want more environmentally friendly and cost-effective, just use used wood. Combine it with the floor and walls just plated with plaster. Weird? Of course not. In fact, as this is the modern design trend in Europe today. Neat and of course environmentally friendly.
